In the adventure, the PCs are charged with the safety of a shipment of swords destined for the High King of the Moonshaes. They'll meet pirates, fairy creatures, cultists, as well as other pleasures and/or dangers.

FA2: Nightmare Keep

Setting: AD&D 2nd Edition, Forgotten Realms

Characters: ? of levels 18-20

Personal views

This was written during the grime period of module production. It suffers from the tradition faults of the period, mostly that it under estimates players abilities so the monsters are set at a woefully low level and secondly that it uses hokey rooms and encounters instead of trying to pull off a great idea. The highlight here has to be the undead squirrels and the lame attempts to justify illogical rooms designed to frustrate any reasonable party.

FRC series:

Series overview:

FRC1: Ruins of Adventure

Setting: AD&D 1st Edition, Forgotten Realms

Characters: ? of levels 1-6

Itís a tie in of the computer game that then spawned a book. To be fair is not as bad as I thought but its hardly a great adventure book.

FRC2: Curse of the Azure Bonds

Setting: AD&D 1st Edition, Forgotten Realms

Characters: ? of levels 6-9

Worse than FRC1 but not as bad as some of the junk that was passed for release in the grim days.

FRE series:

Series overview: These three modules take the world through the Time of Troubles, and tie in very closely with the Avatar trilogy of novels. These modules are also designed to take the Realms through the change to 2nd Edition.

Personal notes

This has to be the lowest part of the book module tie in era. Rigid scenarios that left no room for DM's, strict story plotting that made them a joke if someone had read the novels. bad bad bad, terrible, avoid.
