Personal notes:

Bone hill isn't half bad. It's more like a mini adventure area than an actual dungeon. It's packed full of areas to explore, some are great, some are rubbish but overall it's definatly worth your time having a read. Best of all Wizards had a moment of clarity and placed it for free down load!

L2: The Assassin's Knot

Setting: AD&D 1st Edition, Greyhawk

Characters: 6-10 of levels 2-5

Written by: Len Lakofka

Year: 1983

New spells: None

New magical items: Cloak of Etherealness, Ring of Protection vs. Charming, Guardian Blade

New creatures: None

What you get: 32 page booklet with 2 covers

Summary: The Baron of Restingford is dead. Adventurers are needed to solve the mystery.

Personal notes:

It's very hard to do a 'who dunit' when you have magic. Cast the right spell and the thing should be solved. The author here tried to go around that problem by ensuring that the players are low enough level so that spells can't be used to much effect. There is a certain amount of leading by the nose, several assumptions and staged encounters and once th eplayers are on the trail how do you stop them ending it all to soon?

This is a great ideaa hampered by the fact that 'who dunits' don't work in D&D.

L3: Deep dwarvern delve

I have yet to see this module, mostly because Wizards in a moment of unclarity decided to bundle it in a box of 25thAniversary stuff that I don't need. Why we can't have the module released on it's won is beyond me. It features a load of Waynes Artwork and looks like it might be interesting, sadly you will have to wait until I get a copy without having to buy 7 other modules that I already have.

Wizards should hang their heads in shame, I hope they lost a packet on that boxed set, they deserve nothing less after such blatent money grabbing.
